Given our commitment to this mission, we are pleased to share this announcement:
Cignal Cable Corporation, SKY Cable’s holding company Sky Vision Corporation and ABS-CBN Corporation today announced the signing of an investment agreement that will give Filipinos greater access to broadband internet service.
Cignal Cable intends to invest in SKY Cable, a deal that will benefit existing SKY subscribers with future innovations on products and services. The investment will also enable SKY to expand its broadband reach and capacity in support of the government’s plan to prioritize development of the country’s digital infrastructure.
Cignal Cable’s investment in SKY Cable will strengthen and enhance its public service offerings that currently include Knowledge Channel, which provides educational programs for children, and DepEd Channel, which offers long-distance learning to the Filipino youth during the pandemic. Cignal Cable plans to expand the public service programs that will be offered by SKY Cable to assist the government in providing public services to Filipinos, particularly in remote areas.
We are excited with this new development and assure our subscribers that all SKY Cable services and operations will continue.
